Composer in Residence Program

Amity Trio is excited to announce a new endeavor and collaboration: Amity Trio’s Composer in Residence.

The goal for our Composer in Residence program is to build relationships with the composers we collaborate with, working to create more music for our ensemble and share this music with more communities. We are excited to introduce our first composer in residence, Nur Slim!

We have been working with Nur on several other projects, including the bilingual children’s opera, Lucrecia y el canto de los dudasaurios, and a piece (El mito de Coronis) for our debut album. Now, as part of this official program, she will be composing a new work for our Border Crossings album and co-creating a multimedia project.
