Border Crossings

An Amity Trio album and multimedia project

We are thrilled to announce our second album and multimedia project, Border Crossings, a multimedia project that delves into the dynamic system of the Mexico/New Mexico border and its impact on both the creative process and the greater question of racial justice in our societies. The project is a respectful inquiry into the complexities of living in a border state and how that impacts the creative process. As part of the project we will produce an album that features about an hour of music by living composers from both sides of the Mexico/New Mexico border. The music will be commissioned by and for Amity Trio. We are committed to uplifting underrepresented voices within the music community, and therefore, every work for Border Crossings will represent composers who identify as female and/or BIPoC.
